Job description

An enterprise-grade SaaS platform (B2B/B2C) for higher education professionals and students at high institutions is looking for a Full-Stack Developer. The developer will contribute to scaling the product, value, and business, along with creating strategies for new features and implementing test automations. The company is well-funded by industry leaders from top companies like Peoplesoft, Workday, etc. Candidates who want to collaborate on building solutions that bring higher education technology into the twenty-first century through a unified software platform are suitable for this position.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Write well-designed, modular, and testable code that is reusable
  • Identify test gaps and prioritize risk management
  • Lead the test automation implementation and provide guidance on testing approaches for integrating new features
  • Write automated tests for sprint activities while collaborating with the development team
  • Scale and influence the engineering roadmap and platform architecture
  • Operate as the team lead and collaborate with the Product and Design teams to understand customer needs 
  • Pinpoint additional opportunities to improve the platform through various means
  • Maintain the stability of services through automated testing
  • Participate in architectural discussions for quality engineering.
  • Develop documentation to quickly identify pressing requirements and solutions 
  • Own the responsibility for test failures, troubleshoot and debug automated test failures, and ensure the CI system is reliable

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • 3+ years of object-oriented software development experience (React.js, React Native, Node.JS, Python )
  • At least 2+ years building Android applications in Java using the SDK
  • 2+ years building iOS applications in Swift 
  • Have a knack for speed and rapid development
  • Experience building mobile applications with, heavy automated testing
  • An independent thinker requiring minimal guidance 
  • Familiarity with Docker, Git, Github, Gitlab, Confluence, Jenkins, CircleCI, Concourse, etc.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Advanced analytical skills to resolve complex issues
  • Competency working in an agile, CI/CD environment
  • Familiarity with Machine Learning, Python, and libraries like TensorFlow
  • Desire to contribute to scaling the overall platform and development processes
  • Comfortable working with AWS infrastructure
  • Passion for creative problem solving and continuous learning 
  • Experience in the EdTech industry or integration with similar systems is a bonus
  • Deep expertise in developing automated tests, back-end, mobile applications, or APIs
  • Experience in testing solution technologies
  • Proficient in designing and implementing testing solutions to improve the speed of testing, efficiency, and reliability
