Job description

A US-based FinTech company that helps small businesses and startups save money that accountants may overlook while filing for Audit and Tax Services is looking for a Full-Stack Developer. The developer will be a core member of a multidisciplinary team and collaborate efficiently with the engineering, product, and design teams. The company's cutting-edge technology assists hardware, software, and VC-backed firms in claiming tax benefits that accountants frequently overlook. It has managed to raise more than $60 mn during the Series A round of funding. This will be a full-time role requiring some overlap with the PST time zone. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Create security and data protection solutions
  • Focus on shipping impactful products and features for customers 
  • Build scalable, well tested, high-quality front-end and back-end code
  • Assist in up-leveling the team’s technology and processes as they scale and iterate rapidly
  • Propagate the need for core security and design principles
  • Ensure completed projects meet and exceed company goals
  • Own and drive technical decisions with a grounding in solving problems for customers and business

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • 2+ years experience building and maintaining production software in a full-stack role
  • Prolific experience working with React, APIs, Typescript, or Express
  • Nice to have some knowledge of Context, MobX, and Redux
  • Proficiency in optimizing React in production systems to boost performance and developer experience
  • Experience working with back-end services and APIs
  • Ability to thrive in a highly collaborative and fast-paced environment
  • Experience operating cross-functionally with the engineering, product, and design teams
  • Keen on learning new techniques and take on tasks as needed
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Passion for startups, finance, accounting, and taxes, is nice to have
  • Ability to work independently and communicate effectively
