Data Scientist

An emerging comprehensive financial services SaaS middleware that uses data-driven approaches to automate the entire lending lifecycle is looking for a Data Scientist. This selected candidate will be communicating with different teams to streamline the development tasks. Job Responsibilities:

• Build processes for, and execute on, model development, deployment, and management
• Develop new methods, processes, and systems for cleaning, consolidating, and analyzing unstructured and diverse data sources
• Help develop digital solutions for new and innovative approaches to resolve problems and methodologies in data analysis
• Present data and analysis in a clear and crisp manner to help the audience quickly understand results and recommendations to make informed and data-driven decisions
• Collaborate with senior members of Development, Operations, and Executive teams to ensure accuracy and integrity of data sources, reports, and analysis for our clients, prospects, team members, and partners

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
• At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a data scientist
• Must possess expertise in working with SQL 
• Solid knowledge of statistical programming using R and/or Python
• Must have at least 4+ years experience in Predictive Modeling, Predictive Analytics, Machine learning, Data Extraction, Data Mining, Quantitative Analysis, and/or Statistical Modeling
• At least 3 years experience of developing statistics-based analytical reports
• Thorough understanding of statistical and applied programming 
• Ability to collaborate and clearly express ideas and concepts with professionals from different levels of the company
• Ability to carry out research and build innovative ideas independent
• Must be able to utilize the latest analytical techniques
• Strong base in analytical thinking, technical analysis, and data manipulation skills
• Must be able to work both independently and as part of a team
• Must be a self-motivated developer with strong attention to detail, excellent decision-making skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Prior experience of working in the financial industry will be a bonus
