Job description

A US-based company that has managed to build a well-established ticketing platform for entertainment events is looking for a Data Engineer. The engineer will be in charge of keeping track of product metrics and identifying the root causes of changes in data generated. The company works with global partners, teams, artists, and venues and helps them to connect with their fans and grow their business. They have managed to raise more than $59mn in funding so far. This will be a long-term role requiring 6+ hours of overlap with the EST/CET time zones. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Create documentation reports for external partners and internal stakeholders
  • Create customer-specific data integrations and collaborate with users to understand and meet their needs
  • Collaborate with colleagues to pair programs and conduct code reviews 
  • Help build out a greenfield data pipeline
  • Troubleshoot issues and offer solutions to product problems

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a data engineer
  • Extensive experience in SQL, Azure, Data Warehousing, and Airflow
  • Nice to have experience in Snowflake
  • Solid understanding of blob storage / datalake and ETL / data pipelining
  • Data-driven and feedback oriented attitude 
  • Ability to collaborate and take ownership of projects 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Fluent in verbal and written English
