Job description
Job responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
- Design, develop, deploy, and maintain end-to-end cross-platform software applications
- Oversee and participate in every stage of the software development life cycle
- Define guidelines and best practices to optimize software systems for better performance and reliability
- Work closely with the QA team to troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade solutions
- Analyze existing systems and recommend alternative or better opportunities for improvement
- Integrate solutions with various APIs and third-party libraries
- Keep abreast with the latest technological and market trends
- Create and maintain documentation for future reference
Minimum requirements
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience working as a software developer (rare exceptions for highly skilled developers)
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages, frameworks, and libraries, like React, Node, Python, JavaScript, React Native, PHP, Vue, and Java, among others
- Expertise in software design and architecture for large-scale distributed systems
- Good understanding of data structures and algorithms along with web technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, etc.
- Extensive knowledge of networking and security protocols, databases, and APIs
- Experience working with code versioning tools like Git and project management tools like Jira
- Fluent in English to communicate effectively
- Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) with a 4 hour overlap with US time zones
Preferred skills
- Experience with Linux/Unix environment
- Solid understanding of CI/CD/CT pipelines
- Familiar with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools
- Capable to find effective solutions to problems without micromanagement
- Great communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
