Job description

Job responsibilities

  • Assist in analyzing user requirements, envisioning system features and functionality
  • Design and develop user interfaces and applications using the laid-out framework
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to discuss requirements, schedule activities, and troubleshoot development and production issues

  • Take ownership of creating well-defined, testable, and efficient code
  • Support the preparation and implementation of complex network changes and manage network security solutions
  • Manage and maintain the documentation and build assistance tools to support users

Minimum requirements

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering (or equivalent experience)
  • 3+ years of experience in software development (rare exceptions for highly skilled developers)
  • Experienced in Network Automation/Orchestration skillsets in frameworks and toolsets, including Cisco Network Service Orchestrator (NSO) and related development skills, like NSO Java/Python APIs, Config, etc.

  • Experienced in Network Automation/Orchestration skillsets in frameworks and toolsets, including Cisco Network Service Orchestrator (NSO) and related development skills, like NSO Java/Python APIs, Config, etc.
  • Good understanding of Templates, Network Element Drivers (NED), Lux, Reactive Fastmap, Subscriber, Kicker, Action, and familiar with Layered Services Architecture (LSA)
  • Hands-on expertise in controller technologies, such as Manage or similar
  • Experience in Linux Operating System with administration, scripting skills, CI/CD process, and DevOps tools
  • Exposure to Routing, Switching, and Firewall administration
  • Knowledge of switching techniques like VLAN, VTP, and various flavors of STP, Ether-Channel, etc
  • Fluency in English for effective communication
  • Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) with a daily 4 hour overlap with US time zones

Preferred skills

  • Knowledge of code versioning tools, like Git, SVN, etc.
  • Understanding of test-driven development and automated testing frameworks
  • Familiar with scripting languages, like Perl, Shell, etc.
