Job description

Job responsibilities

  • Design and develop applications for Apples’s iOS
  • Take on complex tasks and transform them into intuitive, accessible, and easy-to-use designs
  • Utilize expertise in iOS development to assist the team to evaluate and select development methods, processes, standard methodologies, and tools
  • Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
  • Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs
  • Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization

Minimum requirements

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT (or equivalent experience)
  • 3+ years of experience working as an iOS developer (rare exceptions for highly skilled developers)
  • Experience developing software in Objective-C, Java, C, C, or C#
  • Expertise in Object-Oriented Programming
  • Proficiency in iterative software development environments (Agile, Kanban)
  • Good understanding of Apple’s XCode for software development
  • Understanding of common design patterns including Model-View-Controller
  • Fluency in English for effective communication
  • Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) with a daily 4 hour overlap with US time zones

Preferred skills

  • Ability to perform unit testing and integration testing
  • Experience with test-driven development, Continuous Integration, and other Agile practices
  • Knowledge of mobile development challenges, like battery or radio usage, CPU and memory constraints, etc.
  • Knowledge of standard debugging techniques, like logging, LLDB, and/or instruments to localize and correct software defects
  • Team player with the ability to work without direct supervision
  • Excellent creative and logical thinking
    -Good communication and interpersonal skills

Who You Might Be:

  • Minimum 5+ years of post-internship, full-time, hands-on, professional software development experience developing user-facing iOS mobile native applications at scale, using Swift.
  • Expertise in Swift and Objective-C
  • Familiarity with software engineering best practices such as unit/integration/end-to-end testing, design documents, CI/CD, A/B testing, code reviews, and documentation
  • Strong organizational skills, the ability to prioritize tasks and keep projects on schedule.

About the Role
We are looking for an Android Engineer to help us grow internationally  through translations and guest experiences. You will contribute to the  full development cycle, including technical design, development,  testing, experimentation, analysis, and launch. You will be responsible  for managing your task list pipeline as well as communicating your  progress throughout the task life cycle. You will be aiding the  development, maintenance, and support of our platform's Android features
