Job description
Job responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high productivity, reliability, and scalability of software products and services
- Take charge of developing metrics and KPIs to quantify product quality and engineering excellence
- Assist in the design, development, and improvement of CI/CD pipelines
- Take care of source code control management
- Act proactively in troubleshooting development issues and fixing bugs
- Conduct architectural and code review and assist in validation, code deployment, etc.
- Collaborate with software engineers and project managers to discuss and implement innovative ideas for more impactful results
Minimum requirements
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 3+ years of experience as a DevOps engineer (rare exceptions for highly skilled engineers)
- Extensive working experience with multiple programming languages, including Python, Ruby, Java, Go, Perl, C#, etc.
- Well-versed with using various tools including Jenkins, Travis, etc.
- Proficient with database technologies, release management, REST, SRE, etc.
- Extensive experience in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
- Good understanding of Kubernetes, Docker, and other containerization technologies
- Ability to communicate fluently in English
- The ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) and a 4 hour overlap with US time zones
Preferred skills
- Experience working with at least one cloud platform, like AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Experience with automation, continuous testing and monitoring tools
- Understanding of software security best practices
- Knowledge of version control systems like Git
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code to test applications in production-like environments
- Proficient with critical DevOps and Agile concepts and development principles
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
