Job description
Job responsibilities
- Establish end-to-end cloud architecture and infrastructure
- Evaluate and determine the overall cloud computing strategy.
- Implement secure design and development practices
- Ensure data and application security
- Design and implement cloud computing solutions.
- Run and execute manual penetration testing regimes
- Guide junior architects on GCP stack and DevOps best practices
- Communicate with stakeholders for incident reporting, meeting facilitation, presentation and documentation
- Keep control over all deployments and reporting on deployment health
Minimum requirements
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT (or equivalent experience)
- At least 3+ years of experience working with DevOps and Cloud architecture (rare exceptions for highly skilled developers)
- In-depth knowledge in Cloud technologies like AWS, Azure, GCP
- Strong grasp on scripting languages like Python, Perl, etc.
- Proficiency in Yaml scripting, AWS CodePipeline, and AWS CodeBuild
- In-depth knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Microservices, Big Query, Cloud SQL, Cloud DataProc, and Cloud Data Flow
- Expertise in infrastructure automation tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet
- Fluent in English to communicate effectively
- Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) with a 4 hour overlap with US time zones
Preferred skills
- Experience in API Gateway, Elastic Beanstalk, DynamoDB, AWS Batch, EC2, S3, SNS, SQS, and Lambda
- Strong understanding of data storage fundamentals, cloud service patterns, and networking
- Familiarity with operating Linux/Unix environments
- Previous experience in handling CI/CD tools
- Experience in software testing methodologies
- Strong troubleshooting and project management skills
