Job description

A US-based company that has built a financial reporting and enterprise performance management software is looking to hire a Site Reliability Engineer. As an engineer, you will continuously improve and automate cloud infrastructure, ensuring feedback from production gets to the software engineering teams. The company offers products for financial reporting, business dashboards, budgeting and planning, tax provisioning, and several other services. It has raised close to $800mn in funding so far. This job offers a great chance to join the team building scalable solutions used by more than 450K users. It requires some overlap with IST. 

  

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work with engineering teams to enhance the application based on feedback from production
  • Craft out elegant cloud architecture for the applications together with software engineers 
  • Implement and improve the security posture of cloud environments
  • Identify and fix production issues 
  • Take ownership of projects and participate in an on-call rotation

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant software engineering experience 
  • Must have experience in PowerShell and AWS
  • Competency working with Windows and sound coding experience (apps or scripts) in any language
  • 7+ years of experience running applications in the cloud
  • 5+ years of experience with Terraform
  • Be passionate about observability with an automation mindset
  • Experience configuring alerts to avoid notifications fatigue
  • Good cloud networking experience
  • Programming experience or prior work as a software developer
  • Excellent cloud certification is a plus
  • Experience with Kubernetes is a plus
  • Profound communication and collaboration skills
