Job description

A U.S.-based company that is providing world-class retail services specializing in gold, silver, and platinum products is looking for a Senior PHP Developer. The selected candidate will be in charge of creating dependable and scalable APIs to support application functionality. Instead of only holding bullion on paper, the company is making it possible for investors to buy and hold it physically. This position requires 4+ hours of overlap with the CST time zone. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work with cross-functional teams to comprehend the needs of the project and offer technological solutions
  • Take part in code reviews and make sure best practices are followed when writing code
  • Bugs, performance concerns, and other technical issues should be investigated and fixed
  • Keep abreast of business trends and technological advancements that affect PHP development

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a software developer
  • 5+ years of experience working with PHP and core PHP skillset
  • Extensive experience working with JavaScript and API Integrations
  • Extensive experience writing SQL/MySQL queries, as there is a heavy focus on database interactivity and reports
  • Some framework experience like Laravel is desirable
  • Proficient experience with e-commerce websites and applications
  • Familiarity with WordPress and WooCommerce is nice to have
  • In-depth knowledge of payment gateways like PayPal, CyberSource, Google Pay, and Apple Pay
  • Demonstrable experience successfully integrating 3rd parties, such as Plaid and FingerPrintJS
  • Fluent in spoken and written English communication
