Senior DevOps Engineer

A US-based company developing software to assist Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) teams, financial analysts, and businesses in creating detailed and scalable revenue models is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer. The selected candidate will be responsible for designing and developing CI/CD pipelines to ensure the automation of the building, testing, and deployment of software products. The company is introducing advanced technologies that are changing the way financial analysts work and businesses succeed. This will be a long-term, full-time position requiring some overlap with the PST time zone.  

Job Responsibilities:

• Regularly read logs and check system performance
• Build a new Ansible playbook to renew certs on servers   
• Troubleshoot for system alerts and outages (such as NAT outage or DNS lookup failures)
• Develop new VM for new team members 
• Find and deploy the right scanning tools and automate the scanning process
• Backup or restore database regularly
• Regularly update Jenkins and maintain pipelines
• Integrate several testing automations into the pipeline   
• Develop secure vaults and migrate application codes to read from the stores/vaults  
• Automate the latest codes from the dev branch into test servers     
• Work with dev and QA team to troubleshoot testing failure   
• Collaborate with the team to reduce release load time

Job Requirements: 

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
• At least 3-5+ years of relevant experience as a software developer
• Must have extensive experience in Jenkins, Linux, Apache, Bash, and Python 
• Nice to have experience in Ansible 
• Demonstrable experience in deploying new servers, VM, and services is nice to have
• Solid understanding of software development cycle, Git, npm, branching
• Prior experience in automating deployment and release pipelines is a plus
