Senior Android-Kotlin Developer

A US-based company offering a plug and play solution that enables contactless payments and unlocks itemized transaction data for restaurants, is looking for a Senior Android-Kotlin Developer. The developer will be tasked with owning and building the company’s POS system. The company aims to transform the restaurant payment experience by offering contactless payment options and real-time monitoring of sales. The firm has managed to raise $3.5mn in funding so far. This will be a great opportunity for developers to work on innovative solutions and expand their repertoire of skills. 

Job Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain the company’s POS platform
• Make architectural decisions and own the entire product lifecycle 
• Assist in translating designs and wireframes to high-quality code
• Identify bottlenecks and fix reported problems 
• Collaborate with different cross-functional teams to collect, organize and prioritize requirements
• Assist internal teams to troubleshoot production-related problems
• Integrate new and improved technologies in applications

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
• 5+ years of relevant experience as an Android developer
• Must possess expertise in Kotlin programming
• Experience in building Android apps for custom handheld devices is a plus
• Prior experience working in a fast-paced startup environment is desirable
• In-depth knowledge of general mobile landscapes, trends, and architectures
• Must possess strong interpersonal skills with fluency in English
