Senior Android Engineer

A US-based company building an efficient world-class social platform that initiates community-building activities among members is looking for a Senior Android Engineer. The selected candidate will be communicating closely with the product managers, stakeholders, and designers to foster deep empathy with the end-user. The platform enables users to post content as well as remark and vote on the content posted by others. The company has raised more than $1bn in funding during their Series F round. This position requires 6+ hours of overlap with the EST time zone.

Job Responsibilities:

• Create new Android applications and implement new features in existing ones
• Work effectively in an agile environment with other engineers, product and design teams
• Ensure quality features and work iteratively to progress from good to better
• Develop and maintain automated tests to thoroughly validate your code's effectiveness
• Work as a technical reference/subject matter expert in all areas of the mobile application development life-cycle

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
• Must have a minimum of 7+ years of experience in Android development 
• Prior experience in MVVM or similar technology
• Competency in maintaining existing mobile software systems by identifying and correcting software defects
• Knowledge and experience with build and release management
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Fluent in verbal and written English
