Senior Android Engineer

A global live-streaming company with users across 50 countries is looking for a Senior Android Engineer. The developer will be responsible for optimizing and scaling the current application along with building new, innovative features and helping to actualize the company’s vision of being the global champion in live media and entertainment. The platform is transforming the live streaming industry through the real-time content-sharing mobile application for entertainers to create and share engaging content through live streams and photos while earning royalties. The company has managed to secure $50 mn+ in funding during their Series D round. Job Responsibilities:

• Showcase solid expertise in software development and engineering on the Android mobile platform 
• Offer mentorship to other staff and software engineers 
• Stay in line with the latest methods, tools, design, and architectural patterns for the Android platform
• Optimize and uphold the hiring standards for the Android team
• Tackle complex code debugging, incident response, and other engineering tasks
• Put frameworks and structures in place to improve the teams' productivity
• Rapidly anticipate and adapt software systems and practices to changes in requirements
• Render solutions across multiple tech projects synchronously with outstanding performance
• Deliver objectives with a high degree of independence and initiative
• Offer technical leadership across the team to engineers at lower IC levels and aid in achieving targets

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
• Minimum of 5+ years hands-on experience in developing and deploying Android apps at scale
• Proficient software development and Android development skills
• Expert skills in Java and Kotlin programming languages to scale the Android development
• Relevant working experience in Android app development
• Prior experience with the Android SDK, third-party libraries, and APIs
• Sound knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and the emerging technologies
• Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle
• Profound critical thinking and problem-solving skills
