Job description

A U.S.-based company on a mission to develop an end-to-end passenger experience platform for autonomous vehicles is looking for a Senior Android Developer. The developer will be collaborating closely with the VP of Engineering and Streaming as well as the product team to bring new ideas to the table. The company is revolutionizing in-car entertainment by giving customers access to the best television shows, music, games, and movies from the convenience of their vehicles. The company managed to secure more than $2.5 mn during their Seed round of funding. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work with the developers to comprehend user requirements and translate them into effective test cases
  • Advocate for high quality in an increasing number of user experiences
  • Increase the velocity of deployed changes 
  • Collaborate with development teams to meet testing requirements

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 7+ years of relevant experience as a software developer 
  • A minimum of 7+ years of experience in Android
  • At least 5+ years of experience in Kotlin and GraphQL
  • Prior experience with Android Media Streaming Apps (exoplayer, media session, media browser) 
  • Experience with MVI architecture
  • Experience with GraphQL and Kotlin
  • Experience with multi-flavor apps (one codebase, multiple clients) 
  • Nice to have experience with Android Auto or Android Automotive
  • Fluent in verbal and written English
