Job description

A U.S.-based company that is determined to boost electrification through innovative technologies that are applied to mobility and energy storage is looking for a Senior Android Developer. The selected candidate will be working with new technologies to help build a transformative platform. The company is providing the right technology to make the transition to cleaner and easy-to-use energy sources simpler and faster. This will be a long-term, full-time role requiring 4+ hours of overlap with the PST time zone. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Take charge of the user and system requirements management
  • Oversee the Automotive software development in Android
  • Ensure the execution of efficient software maintenance and improvements
  • Supervise, improve, and manage the software and hardware testing

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a software developer
  • 3+ years of experience working with Android development
  • Demonstrable experience working with Android, Java, and Kotlin
  • Experience with a range of low-level resources and android services usage around USB communication with an external device
  • Ability to read data through USB and CANBUs, from EV electric module, store and display data on Android the application
  • Prior experience with cloud synchronization of data
  • Extensive knowledge of Android USB communication and services is nice to have
  • Excellent conversational and written English skills
