Senior Android Developer

A Silicon-Valley based company that is building an engaging and secure platform for live stream artists, creators, and friends, is looking for a Senior Android Developer. The developer will play a critical role in helping the company to advance their large-scale, fast-growing consumer app. The company entwines voice and video chat with music and offers room-based interactions between users including creators and fans. They have managed to securely raise more than $3.5mn so far. This will be a full-time, long-term role that requires 4+ hours overlap with the PST time zone. Job Responsibilities:

• Create and install features in the Android app's flagship audio/video/music app
• Understand the most challenging problems and propose creative solutions
• Collaborate with the design team to build incredible products and creative user experiences
• Release quickly and iteratively in an agile software development environment
• Build the foundation of a high-powered mobile engineering team
• Define and implement features in close collaboration with the server team and the product team

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
• At least 5+ years of relevant experience as an Android Developer
• 3+ years of experience with Kotlin and Android Java
• 5+ years of experience working with REST APIs and WebRTC
• Strong knowledge of Android SDK and different versions of Android
• Experience dealing with different screen sizes/platform fragmentation
• Nice to have some experience with WebRTC, OpenTok, or other real-time video systems
• Prior experience with iOS and peer-to-peer audio and video technologies is desirable
