Job description

A cutting-edge social platform that merges voice and video chat with music is looking for a Senior Android Developer. The developer will help advance the large-scale, fast-growing consumer app and build the foundation of a high-powered mobile engineering team. The Silicon Valley-based company, through the platform, allows people from all over to talk, share ideas, life experiences, deepen friendships, and connect. This will be a full-time, long-term role that requires at least 4+ PST.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement features in the flagship audio/video/music Android app.
  • Collaborate with the design team to create innovative user experiences and great products
  • Release quickly and iteratively in an agile software development environment
  • Collaborating closely with the server team and the product team to define and implement features

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant Android development experience
  • Extensive experience in Kotlin and Android Java
  • Strong knowledge of Android SDK and different versions of Android
  • Ability to handle various screen sizes and platform fragmentation
  • A zeal to learn, build apps, code, and most importantly, an incredible development team
  • Experience with WebRTC, OpenTok, or other real-time video systems
  • Experience with iOS, peer-to-peer audio and video technologies
  • Ability to understand the most demanding problems and propose creative solutions
  • Experience and the ability to thrive in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments
  • Passion for creating high-quality mobile apps
  • Appreciation for diversity, values, teamwork, and contribution to meaningful social products
