Job description

A U.S.-based company that is helping businesses and individuals to achieve operational excellence is looking for a Principal Software Engineer. The selected candidate will be working closely with the VP of Engineering to lead the transition to a microservices architecture. Job Responsibilities:

Work with the company’s leadership to lead their transition to a microservices architecture
Build event-driven services
Train and mentor the company’s developers in new patterns and methodologies
Write carefully designed, maintainable, testable, and efficient code
Organize documenting and maintenance of software functionality
Assess and deploy software tools, processes, and metrics
Provide support and consulting on software systems usage
Ensure compliance with project plans and industry standards
Architect the next generation of the company’s software products

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
At least 8+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
A minimum of 3+ years of experience in a lead or Principal software engineer role
At least 5+ years of experience in web application development
A minimum of 5+ years of experience in AWS or other major cloud platforms
Working knowledge of relational databases, SQL, and ORM technologies
Prior experience in designing interactive applications and test-driven development
Comprehensive knowledge of event-driven and microservice architectures
Demonstrable experience in documenting requirements and specifications
Extensive experience in Go, Node, .Net Core, or other languages and frameworks used in microservices
Expert knowledge of relational database design
Solid understanding of event-driven architecture
Experience leading the transition from monolith to microservices
Fluent in verbal and written English
