Job description

A US-based company that has developed an app to allow environmental experts to collect, manage, and report compliance data accurately and efficiently is looking for a Mobile Developer. The selected candidate will take charge of the iOS and Android operating systems' release schedules and make code changes to endorse them before they become public. The company’s secure, cloud-based, and digital system works offline, relieving its clients of the burden of collection efforts. The company has managed to successfully raise $1.5 mn in funding. This will be a long-term, full-time role.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the existing codebase for native iOS and/or Android field data collection applications
  • Track error reporting notifications, assess the severity, and develop and communicate bug-fixing plans
  • Manage the deployment process, which includes both test and production builds
  • Track the release schedules of iOS and/or Android operating systems and make code changes to support them before they are made public
  • When making changes to the existing codebase with technical debt, assess and manage technical risk; recommend the best course of action
  • When implementing improvements or new features, work iteratively with the product team to implement the best UI/UX
  • Collaborate with the product team to develop new features iteratively
  • Document technical details of new code to aid in quality assurance, customer support, and future development
  • Collaborate with the QA team to plan the testing process and identify and fix bugs before the release

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a mobile developer
  • Extensive experience working with Android and iOS technologies
  • Prolific knowledge of Swift and Kotlin 
  • Excellent collaboration and organizational skills
  • Fluent in both oral and written English communication
  • Ability to solve complex challenges in your area of expertise
  • Strong general problem-solving and logical reasoning ability
  • Proficiency in English
