Job description

A US-based company that has built a platform where thousands of people across the world share their nature explorations and work towards science and conservation is looking for a Mobile Developer. The selected candidate will work towards improving the code based on feedback received from beta users. The organization is committed to connecting more than 100mn individuals to nature via its platform over the next decade. Candidates with great interest in nature and curious in learning about life are suitable for this position. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work in a small team to convert wireframes and designs into well-tested code
  • Integrate the app's API and provide relevant feedback
  • Assist in the delivery of the initial MVP of the mobile app for iOS and Android
  • Debug and improve code based on beta tester feedback

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a mobile developer
  • Must have knowledge of React Native to build cross-platform mobile applications
  • Understanding mobile development best practices and staying informed about innovations in the mobile industry
  • Strong understanding of UX/UI concepts and can implement designs from mocks
  • Knowledge of writing tests for React Native is a must
  • Knowledge of accessibility and internationalization best practices is a must
  • Experience working with build automation tooling like Fastlane is required
  • Experience with native iOS and/or Android development is nice to have
