Job description

A leading payment facilitation partner that helps businesses expand and alter their software is looking for a Mobile (Android) Developer. The developer will be in charge of identifying and implementing corrective actions for software issues and defects. The embedded payments company caters to the requirements of high-growth vertical software platforms. During their Series A round, the company managed to raise more than $70 mn in funding. This will be a full-time, long-term role that requires a 6+ hours overlap with the EST time zone.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Build Software Development Kits (SDKs) and applications for the Android platform
  • Create and update technical and client documentation
  • Collaborate with the team to define, design, and develop new features
  • Participate in and support Agile management methodology
  • Bring new ideas and innovation to the table

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 7+ years of relevant experience as a mobile developer
  • 7+ years of Java experience
  • Prolific knowledge of Android/Android Libraries 
  • Extensive experience working with SDKs and RESTful APIs
  • Nice to have some knowledge of AWS Microservices, push notifications, and Bluetooth/BLE
  • Prolific knowledge of Mobile design principles and Android distribution services is desirable
  • Prior payments systems experience is nice to have
