A fast-growing company that is building an online platform that enables users to find information and compare prices of new and used automobiles, is looking for a Full-Stack Java Developer. The selected candidate will be working with a wide range of technologies and teams to help solve problems from end to end. The company is creating the best car search engine to help shoppers find the best car deals more easily. This is a great opportunity for developers who are passionate about the latest technologies and world-class products. 


Job Responsibilities:

  • Work on all areas of application development using a wide range of technologies such as jQuery, bootstrap, Java, Hibernate, MySQL, Tomcat, Solr, Hadoop, etc. 
  • Play a key role in bringing the company’s rich feature set to an android application
  • Ability to work on all layers in the stack, including the front-end and the back-end 
  • Work on building end-user facing websites, mobile websites, and the iOS platform
  • Build robust, scalable, and maintainable code for the company’s platform 
  • Collaborate with the team to create a compelling user experience on web and mobile

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • A minimum of 5-7+ years of experience in Java/Java web development using JSP/Servlets or equivalent MVC frameworks
  • Prolific experience in object-oriented software design and development
  • Extensive experience in jQuery, jQuery mobile, CSS, HTML, and JavaScript
  • Demonstrable experience writing back end queries with Hibernate/SQL
  • Nice to have an understanding of tools like Chrome Inspect Element, Google PageSpeed
  • Working knowledge of building an android application is nice to have 
  • Experience in Linux/Unix command line and Shell scripting is preferred 
  • Working knowledge of Amazon EC2, Cloudwatch, etc is a plus 
  • Passionate about working with startups
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
