Java Developer

A fast-growing company that dabbles in compliance and Open Source supply-chain risk management, is looking for a Java Developer. The selected candidate will play a critical role in the projects and will be involved in developing high-performance, clean and unit-tested code that can be confidently deployed to the customers. The company's cutting-edge technology aids teams to produce excellent software, automate the open-source supply chain, and ensure security and license compliance. The company has managed to secure $700K+ during their Pre-Seed round of funding.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed plan of concepts for complex processes 
• Collaborate with different team members to obtain feedback on viability and performance
• Keep track of development cycles to ensure on-time delivery of projects
• Research project fundamentals to ensure high-efficiency solutions while considering integration with the existing architecture and goals
• Take ownership of data and methods developed in collaboration with the core engineering team
• Conduct unit tests, quality control assessment, bug tracking, and troubleshooting to remove blockers

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
• At least 6+ years of professional software development experience in a Java developer role
• Must possess advanced knowledge of Java
• Ability to work with GraphQL, RabbitMQ, Maven, Cassandra, CQL, Elasticsearch Redis, Redis, and Google Cloud
• Experience building high performance, multi-threaded applications with async functions and back-pressure testing
• Ability to build complex solutions to project vision and thought process to other developers.
• Detailed understanding of application/web security practices
• Knowledge of working with Git, source control procedures, feature branching, SpringMVC, and JPA
• Experience in building solutions based on Angular
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies, GCP, GraphQL, Cassandra, and Spring
• Ability to write effective and fail-safe unit tests
• Must be able to  work with an innovative mindset with a problem-solving attitude
• Ability to write clean and efficient codes
• Thorough understanding of application security principles
• Fluency in English to effectively communicate with team members and stakeholders
