Job description

A fast-growing company that is on a mission to revolutionize the tech industry with their cutting-edge products and solutions is looking for a Java Back-End Developer. The developer will be in charge of driving the development and product roadmap while taking ownership of large parts of the product. The company is still operating in stealth mode and aims to build a powerful campus recruitment platform. This will be a full-time position that can lead to amazing opportunities in the future. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Analyze data storage needs and design relevant databases
  • Create scalable and reliable Java-based server-side applications
  • Participate in a software development process that is highly agile
  • Analyze existing Java infrastructure and suggest improvements
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and UI developers to build successful product capabilities 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a back-end developer 
  • A minimum of 3+ years of experience in Java, NoSQL, and Spring Framework
  • Nice to have experience in DevOps and Kubernetes
  • Deep understanding of the JVM functioning, ability to troubleshoot performance problems
  • Solid understanding of Spring dependency injection and Spring Boot
  • At least 3+ years of relational or NoSQL DB experience
  • Must have at least 2+ years of DevOps toolset based continuous incremental delivery experience, working with cloud-based Kubernetes like containerized environment
  • Demonstrable experience working with open-source search engines, distributed caching, and message queue technologies
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts to designers, product managers, and business partners in ways that are meaningful to them
  • Fluent in verbal and written English
