Job description

A fast-growing company that is developing world-class eCommerce solutions and experiences is looking for a Java/AWS Developer. The developer will be responsible for establishing standards and providing technical and design direction. The U.S.-based company specializes in providing mobile-first purchasing experiences together with enterprise-level eCommerce. This is an amazing opportunity for candidates who are passionate about using their technical knowledge to build cutting-edge products from scratch.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work together with architects and product owners to make design decisions
  • Create end-user software with a high throughput and scalability
  • Enhance, maximize, and locate chances for better software development procedures
  • Assure optimal application performance, quality, and reactivity


Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a software developer
  • Demonstrable experience working with Java programming languages
  • In-depth knowledge of various AWS services, including but not limited to AWS Lambda, Amazon EC2, Amazon S3, Amazon RDS, Amazon DynamoDB, Amazon SQS/SNS, AWS CloudFormation, and/or AWS API Gateway
  • Demonstrable experience in deploying and managing applications on AWS
  • Solid grasp of the fundamentals of object-oriented programming (OOP)
  • Track record of success with Java frameworks like Spring Boot
  • Thorough familiarity with Java 8 or 11 capabilities and above
  • Strong knowledge of cloud architecture and serverless computing concepts
  • Prior knowledge of pipelines for continuous integration and continuous deployment, or CI/CD
  • In-depth knowledge of programs such as Docker, Git, Jenkins, and Kubernetes
  • Familiarity with Terraform and Serverless.
  • Competence with databases, including NoSQL (such as DynamoDB, MongoDB) and SQL (such as MySQL, PostgreSQL)
  • Extensive familiarity with AWS security best practices
  • Strong background in implementing security controls in AWS infrastructure and application code
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in communication to work with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to operate in a setting of agile development
  • Focus on details and a dedication to producing software of the highest caliber
  • Nice to have some familiarity with microservices architecture
  • Working knowledge of other programming languages, like Python or JavaScript, is  desirable
  • Excellent English communication skills, both spoken and written
