Infrastructure Engineer

A US-based company revamping the highly esteemed freight industry is looking for an Infrastructure Engineer. The selected candidate will be responsible for enhancing the infrastructure with continuous deployment pipelines. The company is pioneering an ultra-reliable delivery by leveraging the expanding marketplace, route optimization algorithms, inferential dynamic dispatching, and ground-breaking shipment tracking techniques. It has managed to successfully raise close to $100 mn in funding. 

Job Responsibilities:

• Measure, optimize, and guarantee the high availability of various cloud platforms
• Create, automate, and tune platform network topologies to maximize performance and flexibility in dynamic environments
• Incorporate, develop, and run Open Source and Cloud-Native tools to support critical platform services
• Improve the infrastructure with continuous delivery pipelines
• Retain best practices and optimize datastore performance
• Apply security best practices to the applications, APIs, and databases
• Contribute your expertise to ensure systems are robust, scalable, and secure as the platform expands to include more customers, drivers, and cities
• Engage in other responsibilities as assigned

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
• At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
• 3+ years of experience building infrastructure in AWS at a well-established and/or high-growth organization
• Expert in developing containerized CI/CD pipelines and deployment tools, such as GitHub Actions, Spinnaker, Drone, etc.
• Experience managing and deploying containers to production environments
• Experience with CloudFront, Cloudflare, Fastly, or other CDN services
• Familiarity with authentication and security best practices
• Experience provisioning AWS accounts and services using Infrastructure as Code automation and tools, like Terraform
• Experience in GCP is a plus
• Excellent English communication skills
