Front-End Developer

A rapidly growing venture-backed startup on a mission to optimize the clinical and research decision process using data-driven insights is looking for a Front-End Developer. The selected candidate will be in charge of combining the art of design with programming. The Silicon Valley-based company is building the first of its kind crowdsourced genetic community. The company is backed by leading investors who support the mission to build an enormous, most diverse real-world evidence dataset to answer any genomic question. They have raised over $18mn during the Series B round of funding. Developers interested in the healthtech space and looking to contribute to making genomic data accessible and actionable are well-suited for this role.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop new user-facing features
• Translate the company and customer needs into the company’s platform
• Write reusable code and libraries
• Enhance application for maximum speed and scalability
• Validate input before submitting it to the back-end
• Collaborate with team members and stakeholder
• Bridge the gap between graphic design and technical implementation
• Define how the application looks and how it works
• Translate UI/UX design wireframes to actual code

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
• At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a front-end developer
• Proven experience in modern web FW: Angular, React, and Vue.js
• Expert level skills in HTML5 and CSS3
• Knowledge of large-scale application FE dev patterns (e.g., flux/Redux and NgRx)
• Experience with web UI frameworks like jQuery, Bootstrap, etc.
• Experience working with microservices architecture and CI/CD methodologies
• Graphic design orientation, passion for style, clean, and modern UI/UX, and a good eye for details
• Proven experience in server-side development is desirable
• Nice to have some experience with high volume SQL databases
