Job description

A fast-growing company providing businesses and customers with AI-based Onboard Controls, Data Analytics, and design systems and solutions is looking for a DevOps Engineer. The engineer will be in charge of writing scripts for service quality analysis, monitoring, and operation. The company is leveraging the power of technology to control, analyze, and design innovative battery packs. It has successfully raised more than $4mn in funding during their Seed round. Candidates with a solid background in software engineering and are familiar with AWS and Python are well-suited for this role.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Developing and setting up new development tools and web infrastructure
  • Comprehend stakeholders’ needs and convey them to developers
  • Work to automate and improve development and release processes
  • Test and review code written by others and analyze the results
  • Ensure systems are secure against cybersecurity threats
  • Identify technical problems and develop software updates
  • Working with software developers and engineers to ensure the development follows established processes and works as intended
  • Plan out projects and be actively involved in project management decisions
  • Provide level-2 technical support to the team 
  • Develop tools to reduce inconsistencies and improve customer experience
  • Build the software to integrate internal back-end systems
  • Actively perform root cause analysis for production errors
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
  • Consistently develop scripts to automate visualization
  • Architect procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance
  • Implement automation tools and frameworks for code deployment (CI/CD)
  • Monitor quality control and management of the codebase

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 4+ years of relevant experience as a DevOps engineer 
  • Prolific experience working with Git and Git workflows
  • Extensive experience in Python, JavaScript, and/or Node
  • Working knowledge of databases, SQL, and AWS fundamentals
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking ability
