Job description

A rapidly-growing company helping businesses manage their sales on Amazon more efficiently is looking for a DevOps Engineer. The selected candidate will be a critical member of the founding team and will be developing the tech team. The US-based company is developing an Amazon agency/analytics tool that will help to simplify and reduce the work it takes to manage and optimize Amazon business. This is an exciting opportunity for developers who are eager to gain broader exposure, impact, and expectations.

  

Job Responsibilities:

  • Build out, stabilize, and scale the company’s operational and tech infrastructure 
  • Dive results growth and shape the culture as the company moves forward
  • Collaborate with the technical team to gain a thorough understanding of the development process
  • For existing services, stabilize and manage the present AWS cloud-based deployment architecture
  • Define, create, document, and provide the deployment and change management processes, as well as troubleshoot SOPs, operational cadence, and methodologies
  • Audit, analyze, implement, and operate tooling within the engineering organization's development workflow to complete tasks in a frictionless manner
  • CI/CD infrastructure for testing and releasing configuration and software should be developed, improved, and maintained
  • Assist in the discovery and evaluation of innovative technologies and approaches for the solution of complicated challenges
  • Work in an agile development environment, estimate work packages accurately and stick to sprint deadlines
  • Participate in capacity planning and demand forecasting, as well as anticipating performance bottlenecks and scaling the environment as necessary
  • Troubleshoot production concerns, such as performance and functionality problems
  • Provide inputs on the main service, as well as health metrics and reports

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a DevOps Engineer
  • Extensive experience with back-end technologies like Python/Django  
  • Demonstrable experience with AWS DevOps, PostgreSQL Database, Node.js, GraphQL, and AWS Deployment Infrastructure
  • Experience shaping problems through requirements gathering and executing those requirements in delivery
  • Ability to make decisions in a timely manner based on quantifiable evidence
  • Experience with end-to-end delivery of a solution (from requirements gathering to production deployment)
  • Embrace standard methodologies for software management and reliability, including unit testing, code review, design documentation, debugging, and troubleshooting
  • Ability to self-manage timelines and communicate progress to the rest of the team 
  • Demonstrable history of thriving in a software development team, including traditional operations and/or infrastructure management duties
  • Fundamental understanding of front-end and back-end frameworks, server-side programming languages, and the interaction between them
