Job description

A Silicon Valley-based technology company that offers a platform for creating and operating real-time 3D content is looking for a DevOps Engineer. The engineer will join the team and work in a collaborative environment to maintain, improve, and scale the infrastructure. The platform is utilized by game developers, artists, architects, automotive designers, filmmakers, and others, to make their imaginations come to life. Candidates who are enthusiastic and can bring their own perspective to the team while taking on new challenges are suitable for this position. The role requires a time overlap with the KST or Asia Pacific region.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with a small team to develop, deploy and maintain easy-to-use high-quality CI/CD system for developing efficient applications
  • Assist different development teams to build and deploy applications and cloud services
  • Understand the tasks at hand and manage time effectively
  • Collaborate with other developers, including DevOps developers
  • Implement infrastructure as code wherever deemed necessary

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 9 years of experience shipping multiple production quality cloud or backend systems
  • Ability to work with modern cloud services like AWS
  • Well-versed in best practices of developing CI/CD pipelines with knowledge of working on Unix and Linux systems
  • Thorough knowledge of DevOps methodologies and related processes
  • Should be able to develop creative solutions for difficult problems while maintaining software development best practices like code reviews and readable code
  • Must have the capability of breaking down large and complex problems for prioritizing tasks
  • Experienced in working with Terraform, Helm, Kubernetes, Ansible, and similar tools and frameworks
  • Knowledge of utilizing HashiCorp Vault or similar data protection tools will be beneficial
  • A deep understanding of software security and secure cloud infrastructure is preferred
