Job description

A fast-scaling startup providing healthcare staffing services in the form of nursing and allied health staff is looking for a DevOps Engineer. The selected candidate must have prior expertise in live-site operations and incident response. The company leverages the power of advanced technology to help healthcare professionals turn extra time and ambition into career growth. Job Responsibilities:

  • Improve and standardize the infrastructure continuously
  • Improve and maintain development processes, developer experience, and technologies that support scalable app delivery, such as CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure management, metrics, and logging.
  • Influence the design of distributed systems, microservices, and event-based architecture for dependability and security
  • Advocate for the best SLIs/SLOs to use when monitoring services, tune monitors/alerts for high signal and low noise
  • Mentor and guide teams in best practices when authoring effective alert runbooks

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a DevOps Engineer
  • Familiar with modern industry tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, DataDog, Datadog APM or OpenTelemetry
  • Knowledge of Kafka, GitHub Status Checks, and PagerDuty/OpsGenie
  • Experience developing and supporting cloud applications on AWS, ECS/Fargate, PostgreSQL/Aurora, Lambda, SQS/SNS, and S3
  • Demonstrable experience with DynamoDB, Kafka/Kinesis, ElasticSearch, Snowflake/Redshift, and Terraform
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
