A fast-growing company that is providing state-of-the-art bookkeeping and tax services that cater to the needs of startups, is looking for a DevOps Engineer. The engineer will be using automated processes to gather data from the functional and organizational tools present in the systems and on the websites of rivals. This is an exciting opportunity for developers who are eager to grow at a steady pace while learning from industry professionals.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Create, maintain, and use scorecards and analytics for important business decisions

  • Identify business risks and develop leading metrics from the data sets to provide early warnings of changes to operational and financial measures
  • Create processes to track team member productivity across many teams using intricate procedures.
  • Implement client-facing metrics through our portal system to provide customers a better understanding of their status there
  • Validate data models to ensure that they are accurate and that the conclusions drawn are sound in a commercial context
  • Analyze the effects of platform changes and their effects on applications, systems, and processes both upstream and downstream
  • Create technical documentation that details the systems and processes for using the data
  • Perform routine internal system audits, health checks, and verifications that user access complies with IRS and SOC2 compliance requirements
  • Support the organization's long-term vision while preserving simplicity in the coding environment

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a DevOps Engineer
  • 2+ years of experience working with business analytics

  • Work in a startup environment with speed and agility
  • Productive working knowledge of hybrid spreadsheet databases like Google Sheets and Airtable.
  • Outstanding intellectual and problem-solving abilities
  • Independent learning capacity and ability to grasp new software tool usage concepts fast
  • Must have strong attention to detail and the ability to manage several competing priorities independently
  • Must be outcome-focused and have an entrepreneurial mindset
  • Ability to conduct rapid, iterative testing (such as A/B and multivariate testing) to qualitatively and statistically evaluate product hypotheses
  • Excellent spoken and written English communication skills
