Job description

A fast-growing company that is developing deep-tech solutions to help farmers transition to sustainable agriculture through the use of AI and sensor technology, is looking for a Deep Learning Engineer. The engineer will be in charge of enhancing and improving the current models and algorithms. The company is developing tractor-mounted smart camera systems that let farmers track the health of their plants and monitor pest activity in real-time. The company has managed to securely raise more than $125K during their Pre-Seed round of funding. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work together with cross-functional teams to specify the project's needs and outputs
  • Analyze and assess the effectiveness of deep learning algorithms and models
  • Design and create a whole deep learning pipeline (data gathering, pre-processing, training, validation, and deployment) for analysis of images and videos in real-time
  • Utilize and improve models on Edge devices with constrained computational power

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Electric Engineering (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a Deep Learning Engineer
  • 3+ years of expertise in building multi-task perception models based on deep learning at the production level.
  • Skilled in cross-attention, GAN, and advanced deep learning architectures such as the Voxel/BEV grid-based feature
  • Basic knowledge of multiview geometry, traditional computer vision, and 3D computer vision
  • 3+ years experience working on deploying models on Edge devices and limited computational resources (Nvidia Jetson or other similar)
  • Strong proficiency in C++ (for model deployment, re-simulation, pre/post-processing) 
  • Demonstrable experience with Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, and other deep-learning frameworks
  • Nice to have some familiarity with Sensor Fusion, Localization, ROS, and 3D reconstruction or overall working in Robotics perception applications or Automated driving systems
  • Knowledge of software versioning, tracking, and documenting tools (Jira)
  • Prolific experience working with Computer Vision
  • Familiarity with DevOps and Docker is desirable
  • Nice to have experience working with Python and Machine Learning
  • Excellent spoken and written English communication skills
