Job description

A fast-growing AI data and technology company is looking for a Data Engineer. The engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable open-source machine learning (ML) solutions to support the needs of the data science community. The company functions as one of the world’s most trusted sources for independent mobile audience data at scale. The platform is used by top agencies and major global brands and has raised close to $30 mn in funding so far. Candidates who would like to work as key contributors to the open-source strategies and participate actively in the business transformation are suitable for this position. The role requires a minimum of 4 hours of time overlap with EST. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage communities, identify product gaps and drive capability development
  • Build scalable engineering pipelines by using the latest data engineering and machine learning libraries
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to assist with related technical conversations 
  • Provide expertise around designing and delivering the software
  • Support the collaborative work environment by promoting change with an agile mindset 
  • Be connected in the industry to stay in touch with market trends and suggest innovative ideas

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • Previous experience with open source contributions, and history of involvement in data-centric projects (e.g. Apache SPARK)
  • Competence in data structures and software architecture, data modeling, probability, statistics, and mathematics
  • Proficiency with Python, Java, and Scala
  • 2-3 years of experience developing secure and scalable web APIs 
  • Track record of training, deploying and monitoring machine learning models with extensive knowledge of evaluation metrics and best practices
