Job description

A Silicon Valley-based company focusing on guiding middle/high school students on their journey to College is looking for a Data Engineer. The engineer will be responsible for creating algorithms and conducting statistical analysis while ensuring efficiency in data systems in line with the business goals. The company is founded by ex-googlers and educators from top Universities who have developed the platform to offer personalized content based on students' profiles & data points and track & analyze their progress. This is a full-time position.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Utilize various methods to transform raw data into useful data systems
  • Developing and maintaining datasets and improving the data quality and efficiency
  • Explore ways to enhance the data quality and reliability
  • Collaborate with data scientists and architects on projects

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5+ years of relevant data engineering experience 
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to combine data from different sources
  • Proficiency in Python, Machine Learning, and SQL
  • Understanding Natural Language Processing (NLP) will be nice to have
  • Knowledge of ETL will be a plus
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
