Job description

A U.S.-based information company operating at the intersection of tech and finance is looking for a Data Engineer. The engineer will be providing technical assistance, troubleshooting issues, and fixing them as and when required. In order to provide users access to the most recent and cutting-edge information in the crypto and financial sectors, the company collects, digests, and analyzes all the significant advancements in decentralized finance. The company has managed to securely raise $1.3 mn+ during their Pre-Seed round of funding. This position requires 4+hours of overlap with the EST time zone and will be a full-time role.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products and services
  • Implement security and data protection practices that meet the industry standards
  • Interact with the technical leadership, understand the requirements and execute them efficiently
  • Take ownership of assigned tasks and execute them effectively

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a data engineer
  • Extensive experience working with Python and Solidity
  • Some experience with type safety is desirable
  • Demonstrable technical expertise with data models, data mining, and segmentation techniques
  • Prior experience managing people with Agile methodologies 
  • Nice to have some Jira experience
  • Extensive experience with blockchain and web3
  • Hands-on experience with SQL database design
  • Prolific experience working with PostgreSQL and PL/pgSQL
  • In-depth experience with tools like Apache Airflow, AWS EC2, and S3
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills
  • Fluent in spoken and written English
