Job description

A U.S.-based company combining social media technology, social recruiting, digital engagement, and lead response to help businesses progress is looking for a Data Engineer. The selected candidate will be transferring existing data from old data stores to new platform data stores. The company is helping businesses to leverage digital and social media environments through their advanced customer engagement technology. The company has managed to raise $13.2 mn in funding so far. This position requires 4+ hours of overlap with the PST time zone and will be a long-term, full-time role. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Deliver cutting-edge databases and data services that are scalable, maintainable, and meet industry standards 
  • Develop data solutions with cloud-based platforms and technologies
  • Create scalable and reusable ETL procedures
  • Existing data should be transferred from old data stores to new platform data stores
  • Deliver reliable architectures while adhering to the design guidelines, sprint objectives, and deadlines
  • Take part in continuing code reviews to make sure the quality is consistent, and data standards are followed
  • Work together with other data engineers, application engineers, and product managers to implement new features
  • Help with maintaining, improving, and upgrading services provided by the current data platform
  • Demonstrate the product and technical solution ideas to the team

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a data engineer
  • Demonstrable experience working with Data factories, ETL, and SQL
  • In-depth experience with the latest Azure
  • Nice to have some experience with MongoDB, MySQL, and PowerBI reporting
  • Exceptional ability to work independently and possession of project management skills
  • Fluent in written and conversational English
