Data Engineer

A U.S.-based company developing a visual development platform that will promote business agility and speed up innovation is looking for a Data Engineer. The engineer will be responsible for implementing new features and solving complex data management problems. The company is helping businesses to modernize and innovate by extending the limits of technology, allowing businesses to move faster and more efficiently. The company has managed to successfully secure $350mn+ during their Series C round of funding. 

Job Responsibilities:

• Create new and scalable data pipelines to assist in building features
• Automate existing business processes to show essential datasets 
• Analyze and improve the scalability, stability, and efficiency of the core systems' data collection, storage, and retrieval procedures
• Instrument existing code and create services that expose pipeline operations and datasets to internal users  

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
• At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a data engineer
• Extensive experience in Robust MongoDB 
• Demonstrable experience in performance tuning and indexing in Mongo
• Solid understanding of slow query logs and Mongo aggregation pipeline
• Nice to have experience in Node
• Ability to provide feedback on existing query structure
• Fluent in verbal and written English
