Job description

A fast-paced healthcare company on a mission to bring new medical innovations to the market is looking for a Data Engineer. The selected candidate will be responsible for creating and constructing highly scalable data pipelines to support the business of data solutions. The company increasing its skills as a specialized healthcare provider and actively rising. This is an exciting opportunity for developers who are eager to work in a fast-paced innovative environment. This position requires 6+ hours of overlap with the SGT time zone.

Job Responsibilities:

Apply DataOps methodologies and establish best practices for ETL processes across various architecture tools, particularly enterprise database and data lake
Manage the data lake and data pipelines for key applications and systems
Understand the business requirements to develop and implement solutions
Design, develop and maintain scalable ETL processes
Establish version control of ETL processes and enable CI/CD pipelines
Drive optimization and testing to improve the data quality
Support and contribute to the development standards for data pipelines
Develop capabilities to improve the data quality and integrity of the database systems

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a data engineer
A minimum of 2+ years of experience in managing data warehouses and data pipelines in systems, such as SAP, HANA, postgres, MongoDB, Talend, Hive
Excellent problem-solving skills when working with both structured / unstructured datasets
Demonstrable experience building and optimizing data pipelines, architectures, and datasets
Working knowledge of data visualization tools, such as Tableau / PowerBI
A minimum of 2+ years of experience in delivering hands-on technical projects
Database development experience (SQL programming, SP, Functions, Entity-Relationship design) is a must
Familiarity in Data warehousing concept
Exposure to cloud ecosystem (preferably Azure)
Working knowledge on API design and management
Knowledge of Networking/Infrastructure design is a plus
Experience in data lineage tool and techniques (for traceability of data life cycle) is preferred
Testing automation skills (data quality assurance) is a bonus
In-depth experience in the pharma industry, interfacing with a wide variety of stakeholders
Fluency in English language
