Data Engineer

A rapidly-growing company on a mission to deliver value to investors through a lower-risk approach to the digital asset class is looking for a Data Engineer. The selected candidate will be responsible for identifying and mitigating data governance and compliance gaps. The cryptocurrency asset investing company is using advanced methodology and technology to capitalize on the volatile nature of asset class and the short-medium term inefficiencies in the marketplace. This will be a long-term, full-time position requiring significant overlap with the PST time zone. 

Job Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify requirements for data structure, availability, scalability, and accessibility
• Assist in the translation of business data requirements into technical system requirements
• Create tools to reduce errors and improve the customer experience
• Create procedures for system troubleshooting and upkeep
• Create high-quality code to build and deploy machine learning models
• Create scripts to handle structured and unstructured data
• Data extraction, transformation, loading, and integration from a variety of sources

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
• At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a data engineer
• Must have experience with Node.js along with Math
• Knowledge of MongoDB Atlas, S3, and DynamoDB is required
• Must have expertise in CloudFlare, APIs, and AWS SageMaker
• Great communication skills
