Job description

A new expert networking and relationship sciences platform is looking to hire a Data Engineer. The engineer will monitor, identify and remediate cloud services and environments with a good understanding of data pipelines and how storage and compute fit together. The company helps connect people with the most relevant individuals, contacts, and companies, both within and beyond their immediate network. The selected candidate will join a talented and resourceful team working together to achieve meaningful results.

Job Responsibilities:

Write well-structured, modularized, and clean code
Expand and optimize the data and data pipeline architecture
Strive for efficiency by aligning data systems with business goals
Explore ways to enhance data quality and reliability

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
At least 3+ years of relevant data engineering experience
5+ years of software or database development experience (or equivalent proficiency)
Proficiency in Python, asynchronous events/triggers
Understanding of Classes, decorators, and inherited objects
Knowledge of optimization and profiling
Proficiency with FastAPI/Alembic/SQLAlchemy
Good knowledge of advanced systems design and advanced relational database
Conversant with End-to-end ETL and containerized applications
Experience in API Development (GraphQL / REST)
Familiarity with high-performance computing
Demonstrable experience with raw SQL/SQL command line
Expertise in scripted database migrations and object-oriented translated models (ORM)
Proficient understanding of DevOps/CloudOps processes
Good domain knowledge for why things break
Working knowledge of Linux on GCP/AWS or equivalent
Familiarity with IAM / roles of least permissions
Sound monitoring, Alerting, networking, and security experience
