Job description

An NYC-based startup developing predictive intelligence and automation software is looking for a Data Engineer. The engineer will build data pipelines for the financial intelligence engine, product KPIs, and forecasting applications. The company's software uses statistical techniques and machine learning to detect patterns and enable finance managers to reduce errors by identifying quality issues in financial data. The selected candidate will utilize sound expertise to bring data engineering to the forefront of product development and decision-making. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity that requires some time overlap with the Eastern time zone.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop scalable solutions for data discovery, ingestion, and management 
  • Build infrastructure automation solutions to run, and monitor various environments
  • Take charge of the production, testing, and staging platforms
  • Collaborate with engineering and product leaders to set long-term strategy, and nurture engineering teams

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant data engineering experience 
  • Prolific skills in Python, ETL pipelines, and SQL
  • Experience with Airflow, Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, and Tensorflow, is nice to have
  • Strong capability to mentor and lead junior members as the team scales
  • A growing passion for software quality and making decisions to increase customer value
