Job description

A U.S.-based company that is providing revolutionary technological services that have put them at the forefront of the smart home tech industry, is looking for a Data Engineer. The engineer will be responsible for ensuring high operational excellence, platform stability, and high availability. With unprecedented efficiency, the Silicon Valley-based company's cutting-edge solutions are assisting providers in deploying best-in-class WiFi experiences. During their Series F round of funding, the company has managed to secure $720mn+. This position requires a significant overlap with the IST time zone.

Job Responsibilities:

Utilize scalable systems to handle the growing data volumes
Take part in developing and putting into effect data governance and security policies for the data lake
Produce code that is efficiently organized, optimized, well-tested, and documented
Contribute to the whole data engineering process as an Individual Contributor (IC)

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a data engineer
5+ years of experience building, implementing, and scaling data pipelines
Prior experience with Computer Science fundamentals
Extensive experience working with SQL and Spark (Streaming and Batch)
Familiarity working with Python and Data/Dimensional Modeling
Demonstrable experience working with Cloud technologies
Nice to have some Data Operations experience
Ability to solve tough data challenges without much hand holding
Excellent spoken and written English communication skills
