Computer Vision Engineer

A fast-growing company that is working on developing an AI-powered platform that will assist roofing contractors get bigger contracts, faster insurance approvals, and instant payments, is looking for a React Native Developer. The developer will be responsible for building additional features for the internal online dashboard and mobile field application. Contractors perform photo-centric house inspections using the company's mobile app, which generates all insurance reporting immediately for quick approval. This is a long-term, full-time role that necessitates three or more hours of overlap with the PST timezone.

Job Responsibilities:

• Work together with cross-functional teams to specify, create, and release new iOS application features
• Write reusable, dependable, high-performance code and test it regularly
• Verify the programs' functionality, quality, and responsiveness
• Find and fix bugs, bottlenecks, and other technical problems

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
• At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a software developer
• Extensive experience working with React, React Native, and JavaScript
• Prolific experience with Node.js and Firebase
• Solid understanding of Next.js and Tailwind CSS is desirable
• Fluent in conversational and written English communication

The engineer will be instrumental in interfacing with clients, understanding their requirements, and translating these into actionable, scalable technology solutions using our Python-based tech stack. The candidate should have a strong background in client interactions and solution architecture. The company's vertically-optimized GenAI software platform enables companies to build, deploy, and manage enterprise-grade applications rapidly and cost-effectively.

Job Responsibilities:

• Engage directly with clients to gather and analyze their requirements, providing expert advice and leadership in solution design
• Develop comprehensive solution architectures, roadmaps, and implementation strategies that align with client goals
• Act as a product owner, managing timelines, resources, and scope to ensure successful project delivery
• Lead the development and presentation of demos to clients, showcasing new features and the value of our solutions
• Bridge communication gaps between clients, product owners, and technical teams, ensuring clarity and alignment across all stages of project development
• Design and build proofs of concept (PoCs) within 6-8 week cycles, demonstrating quick turnaround and robust solution viability
• Hands-on coding and system configuration when necessary, maintaining an active role in the development processes
• Ensure solutions are scalable and efficiently utilize cloud technologies to handle large-scale data processing and meet the demands of thousands of users

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
• At least 7+ years of experience in back-end development, preferably with Python and cloud-native system
• Proven track record in a client-facing role, with the ability to manage client relationships, expectations, and deliverables
• Strong experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, particularly in deploying solutions that scale to meet high demand
• Demonstrable experience in leading the development of technology solutions from conception through implementation, including crafting roadmaps, leading teams, and hands-on coding
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying complex technical ideas to non-technical stakeholders
• Fluent in written and spoken English communication
