Job description

A fast-growing company determined to help patients tackle their mental health through modern medication and solutions is looking for an API Engineer. The developer will focus on integrating the back-end with customers by gathering various requirements and bugs. The company uses multi-dimensional sensing capabilities of mobile phones combined with the power of machine learning technologies and novel AI algorithms to continuously measure mental health status. They have secured more than $10 mn in funding from elite Silicon Valley investors. This will be a long-term, full-time role and requires an overlap of 5-6+ hours with the PST time zone.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Build out new API endpoints for new features
  • Create APIs in Python with FastAPI to facilitate consumer interaction and internal dashboard initiatives
  • Complete API integration, authentication issues, data exports, and user management with clients
  • Develop self-service features and developer documentation to assist clients 
  • Adopt test-driven development and guarantee well-tested APIs 
  • Implement and guide fellow team members on best practices for API integration and unit testing

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
  • Prolific skills working with Python, FastAPI, JavaScript, and React 
  • Nice to have some experience with Swift, Kotlin, and Node.js
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English
  • Excellent collaboration and management skills
  • Great problem solving and analytical skills
