Job description

A US-based company developing cutting-edge neuroscience-based software to assess mental health and cognitive ability is looking for an Android Engineer. The engineer will be in charge of planning, designing, and executing end-to-end mobile architecture. The company is on a mission to bring about a revolutionary change in the healthtech industry by developing products that positively impact society. This position requires 4+ hours of overlap with the PST time zone and will be a full-time role. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead the team’s innovation efforts, create meaningful and inspiring experiences for customers
  • Design and implement an Android library that handles wearable device connections and analyses biometric data
  • Write scalable, high-quality code that can be adapted to new product requirements
  • Work with others in the team to document code and integrate it into other projects

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
  • Extensive experience working with Android and Android SDK
  • Familiarity with React and React Native is nice to have
  • Thorough understanding of SDK development principles is required
  • Ability to collaborate in a fast-paced environment 
  • Prior experience producing Android libraries and app modules is desirable
  • Some experience with wearable devices and Bluetooth connectivity is nice to have
  • Excellent English communication skills
