Job description

A rapidly-growing company that makes it easier and enjoyable to own dance NFTs that are created by talented dancers across the globe, is looking for an Android Engineer. The engineer will be reporting directly to the CEO and will be responsible for developing and maintaining highly performant mobile applications. The US-based company is on a mission to replicate the excitement of real dance studios to phones and tablets, with the goal of connecting the world through dance. The seed-stage startup is backed by top-tier VCs in consumer tech and edtech. This is a great opportunity for developers to work in a dynamic environment while building revolutionary technology. 

  

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop advanced applications for Android devices 
  • Understand designs and wireframes and transform them into high-quality codes
  • Ensure the high performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application
  • Test applications to identify bottlenecks and debug errors
  • Implement the latest technologies to build applications
  • Work closely with UI and UX designers and other developers to produce intuitive applications
  • Ensure that the application meets predefined user specifications

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of experience working as an Android engineer
  • Must possess experience in building consumer-facing apps
  • Experience of working in teams where you were expected to be autonomous and deliver at a rapid pace
  • Proven record of leading technical projects from inception to release
  • Solid understanding of tools and techniques for building performant and magical mobile experiences
  • Expertise in Android native app development using languages like Kotlin or Java (preferably Kotlin)
  • Experience of working with Jetpack Compose
  • Understanding UI development best practices and experiences through efficient code
  • Ability to write testable codes
  • Must be able to share knowledge and ideas with your teammates
  • Should possess an urge to learn and master new technologies and always step up to big challenges
