Job description

A US-based company that develops and designs identity technology with a focus on privacy and people is looking for an Android Developer. The selected candidate will be expected to participate in code reviews and brainstorming sessions. The company is building efficient solutions that employ technology to provide users with a simpler, faster, and more seamless digital identity experience. During their Series B round, the company managed to raise $55mn+ in funding. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Function with a high degree of autonomy and independence
  • Perform rapid prototyping, develop new ways of approaching decentralization, and bring minimum viable products
  • Implement and scale new Android Apps and simplify them to use SDKs
  • Launch projects quickly and iterate as the products grow
  • Solicit real-time user feedback, and look to implement changes immediately
  • Handle in-depth R&D involving encryption to quickly test out new blockchains
  • Have the aptitude to learn in the web3 space, and apply the knowledge to the products
  • Work on several feature sets and projects simultaneously, and thrive in a fast-paced, distributed environment
  • Show strong product ownership from design to debugging, and refactor code
  • Be accountable for deliverables removing dependencies for others on the team

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5+ years of relevant experience as an Android developer 
  • Track record of building modern Android software using Kotlin
  • Experience writing, testing, and shipping quality code 
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute at a high level within a fast-paced team environment
  • Flexibility to help push the UX and design to create lean, frictionless experiences
  • Passion for crypto, blockchain, decentralized identity, and verifiable credentials is a bonus
  • Prior experience with Android NFC and BLE stack is a plus 
  • Nice to have experience with Wearables
  • Fluent in verbal and written English
